What level do I need to join the trip?
Advanced beginner (A2) — You're past the absolute basics but not yet comfortable in real conversation. You understand more than you can say, and speaking to strangers still takes courage. That's exactly who this trip is for.
Why do we use applications?
We keep our groups small and carefully curated to ensure everyone is at a similar language level and committed to immersing themselves in Portuguese throughout the experience. This means you'll feel both supported and appropriately challenged, while building connections with like-minded learners.
Which activities are included?
Every activity on this trip is conducted in Portuguese with activity and trip leaders on hand for support. In Aveiro, we'll be participating in:

Interactive conversation lessons, learning about the history and culture of the city through games and speaking activities.

A private moliceiro boat tour through Aveiro's canals — the painted boats, the Art Nouveau facades — with a local guide narrating it all in Portuguese.

A wine tasting with a local producer — the wines, the stories, and the vocabulary to talk about both.

An ovos moles workshop — Aveiro's most famous sweet, with a 500-year-old convent recipe, shaped by hand and eaten on the spot.

A guided afternoon in Costa Nova — the striped palheiros, the fishing village, the Atlantic — explored on foot with activities designed to put your Portuguese into practice.
How much Portuguese will we be speaking?
Every lesson, activity, and meal on this trip takes place in Portuguese. You'll have activity and trip leaders beside you the whole way — the immersion is total, but you're never on your own with it.
